You Have Three Months Left. What Are You Going to Sell?
One quarter. Three months left in 2026.
So here’s a better question than, “What should I be doing before the end of the year?”
What are you going to sell?
Because your answer should determine almost everything else.
- What you’re going to offer.
- Who you’re going to talk to.
- What you’re going to say.
- Where you’re going to spend your time.
- And how much you need to sell to hit your number.
But there’s a problem I see over and over again:
The business owner knows what they do. Their market doesn’t.
And that can quietly kill sales.
You can have a great service.
A great product.
Years of experience.
Happy clients.
And yet, you're still struggling to attract the opportunities you want because the way you’re talking about what you do isn’t making the value crystal clear.
Your clients aren't mind readers. They're busy, and let's get real: they don't care about you. They care about themselves. So, if we don't fix this, we're really STUCK.
Fortunately for my coaching clients, this is one of the things I’m unusually fast at spotting.
Give me about 15 minutes, and I can usually see the messaging problem that’s keeping a business from attracting its first $1 million.
Not because there’s a magic formula.
Because after years of working with businesses across branding, marketing, pricing, positioning, and sales, I’ve learned what to look for.
And I’ve seen what happens when you find it.
One client came to me with a messaging problem.
We changed the way they communicated the value of what they offered.
Within a week, they had an additional $350,000 in their pipeline.
Within a month, that number was more than $550,000. They later-easily-hit their million dollar year.
What happened?
The business didn’t suddenly become better.
The market didn’t suddenly change.
We changed their message.
It went from sounding like shouting into a megaphone to a lyrical conversation their clients wanted to hear.
That’s why I don’t believe every business problem requires more marketing.
Sometimes you don’t even need more visibility.
Sometimes you don’t need more leads.
You need to get clear on who you are, and communicate a better reason for the right people to choose you.
So, before you build the next shiny new 'thing', look at the opportunity that’s already sitting inside the business.
Look at the thing you’re selling.
Look at who it’s for.
Look at what you’re promising.
And ask yourself:
Would the right person immediately understand why they should want this?
If the answer isn’t an immediate yes, you either need to fix the product, fix your positioning, or fix how you're communicating it, in a way that matters to them (not just you).
This the work I do with my clients inside Unicorn Authority: finding the thing that’s getting in the way, figuring out what needs to change, and helping you make the move that actually matters.
And if your biggest growth opportunity is sitting inside your referral network, that’s what we’ll be working on at Referral Advantage LIVE™ on September 30.
You’ll leave with a clearer message, a stronger position, and a better understanding of how to become the person people remember when the right opportunity walks into their world.
You have three months left.
Don’t waste them doing more of what isn’t working.
Figure out what needs to change. And if you're in/near Orlando, I'd love for you to join me at my next free event!
